Short   Houden van – to Like, to Love
Houden van click to hear 'to like, to love' is mostly used to state a like (or dislike) of specific food, music and activities

The D's in ik houd  and houd jij?  are often not pronounced (and like all D's at the end of Dutch words they would be pronounced as T's)

In English, people often say 'I love you' to loved ones like romantic partners or children, but in my view Dutch people almost never say the equivalent 'Ik houd van jou.'  There is no other phrase – maybe people say it in English nowadays.
