Using Words

This page will be about expressing yourself (zich uiten click to hear 2 3) with words: Zeggen 'to say,' Spreken 'to speak,' Praten 'to talk, chat' and Schrijven 'to write' - 'distributing, giving out information,' as we say nowadays. The Dutch and English verbs are fairly equivalent, but that may be different for other languages - study the sample sentences for a better understanding of their meaning.

'Zeggen' has an unusual change from a vowel to a diphthong in the past tense and an also unusual added D in the plural of the past tense. It's somewhat like the English.
