In modern Dutch, talent 2 3 means a 'gift,' a special ability; in classical Greece it was a weight measure

Note At the time of the Bible translations, Dutch boosheid and het boze still meant 'evil, wickedness,' while nowadays it means 'anger.'

The Anabaptists (Wederdopers ) were a radical sect of the early 16th Century. In 1535 they expelled the bishop of Münster 2 (now in Germany) and ruled the town for a while, but were violently suppressed and their leaders executed. The next year they tried to seize power in Amsterdam but failed. After these debâcles the pacifist wing of the movement gained prominence, led by Menno Simons.
