The Little Words You'll Need Most 1

Many of these words look similar but mean different things in Dutch and English. For instance, Dutch 'op' may look like English 'up,' but it means 'on top of;' Dutch 'of' means 'or', it's not English 'of' or 'if.' When these words have multiple meanings, they may not be the same in Dutch and English; and these pages cannot possibly cover all meanings. As I have said before: "Een woordenboek is een leugenboek," hear (A dictionary is a book full of lies.)

The graphics are all my own, but the idea of a drawing to clarify these words comes from the Basic English literature.
